The Highlands and Islands of Scotland’s unique marine environment and maritime climate supports a rich source of natural products and active compounds. Growth in the global market is predicted to rise to £132bn for functional food and drink and £176bn for cosmetics by 2017. The region’s natural assets combined with a growing level of expertise, innovation and research in this field provide a significant commercial and business opportunity.

 

The Natural Products Conference 2013 on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 September will be an important event for anyone interested in the opportunities presented by the developing area of high value natural products.
